Rhythms of the World 2014

The exhilarating Rhythms of the World Festival is returning to Hitchin this year on 2nd and 3rd August.

It has a line up to die for, with music and performance to sort all tastes including Courtney Pine, for all you jazz aficionados, Megson, for folk fans and the Kakatsitsi Master Drummers from Ghana for lovers of drumming.

J.S.Watts is extremely excited to be performing at 3pm on Saturday, 2nd August, on the Arcadeclectic Stage, when you can expect a lively festival performance of her poetry.

Meet My Character - Blog Tour

J.S.Watts has joined the Meet My Character Blog Tour. Thank you Sarah Potter for the invite.

You can read J.S.'s responses to the seven blog tour questions: What is the name of my character? When and where is the story set? What should we know about your character? What is the main conflict that messes up her life? What is her personal goal? Is there a working title for this novel?  When can we expect the book to be published? over on Goodreads. Bedford's Castle Quarter Festival

J.S. Watts is delighted to be reading some of her poems, alongside Bedford's poetry stalwarts, including Ian McEwen, at the Castle Quarter Festival taking place in Bedford on Sunday, 29th June.

If you want to hear J.S. read, she will be performing at approximately 1.30pm and 2.30pm at the Eagle Bookshop in Castle Road, Bedford.

A brand new SF short story by J.S.Watts, "e-razored", can be found in the latest edition of Plasma Frequency (issue 12, June/July 2014).

Twin Cities Tour - Saturday June 7th

Well, okay, "Twin Cities Tour" is over-egging things somewhat, but J.S.Watts will be performing her poetry in two separate towns, at two separate times on Saturday 7th June.

First up we have Stony Live! Alternative Fringe at Stony Stratford near Milton Keynes.  J.S. will be reading some of her poetry at 2.45pm on the Spoken Word Stage at the Bull Hotel, High Street, Stony Stratford.

Then there will be some fast (but, of course, legal) driving over to Cambridge, because J.S. is performing at the 40th Anniversary Strawberry Fair and at 6pm will take to the Wild Strawberries Stage on Midsummer Common to perform a ten minute set of sweetly ripened poetry.

So it doesn't matter if you live in Milton Keynes or Cambridge, on Saturday 7th June you can listen to J.S. reading live. Make sure you catch at least one of her appearances on this one off, twin cities tour.
